With today’s Dobbs ruling, Roe v. Wade is officially overturned. The decision restricts or eliminates a woman’s right to choose in almost half our states, and many women will turn to Maryland. Last session, under the leadership of Vice Chair Ariana Kelley, the General Assembly provided an additional $3.5m to train clinicians and ensure the procedure remains safe.
What stands out most to me is that Democratic Senators represent 40 million more people than Republicans do. A Republican president has only secured the popular vote once in the last 28 years. 5/6 conservative Justices were appointed by GOP Presidents who lost the popular vote and confirmed by Senators who represent a minority of America. That isn’t exactly a representation of American values in our Country’s most important institutions.

Are you saying you don’t agree with the current format of Senators representing States, and House members representing the citizens?
Brian if you going to espouse the demo/liberal view, at least be honesr. this does NOT eliminate abortion it gives the decision to the state, the people who decide what representatives they elect to do what they want. for 50 years we have had to stand down and watch humans cheer that the unborn were being torn from the womb. if you have never watched an abortion especially a late term abortion and still thought the unborn did not suffer you are not the kind of person i want to represent me. you just lost my vote. abortion is evil, maybe if you got 40 million dollars to protect the unborn and get them though life. it is our time to rejoice that God has smiled on these unborn and protected them. shame on you. the tide always swings back but for 50 years most have waited lets hope YOUR voters are not violent. you might start by stopping the lies. maybe take time and know that science has changed, at one time we were not able to see these living beings in the womb, not we can see them smile, wiggle around, even have surgical procedures to save their lives. thank God your mom didn't believe in abortion. considering that abortion was started to kill the brown folks so they would not over populate, guess you support that also? glad i found out who you were before voting for someone who support murder of the unborn.
Amen. That McConnell would not bring Merrick Garland’s nomination forward with 11 months left in Obama’s term, and falling all over himself to get Amy Coney Barrett confirmed before RBG was in the ground in the last month of trump’s term is a gargantuan travesty.
You should read Our Lost Constitution by Mike Lee After reading your post You lack understanding of what a Republic is. Also, Scotus judges are approved by the Senate
That’s why electoral college need to be eliminated. Republicans only hold on to power because of that. These little states with as many people as some cities have equal votes it does not make sense.
Brian, this may help
Definitely not an unbiased court!
The only way to fix this problem is to get enough progressives in such states as California and New York to move to several of the smaller states such as north and South Dakota to elect 2 progressive senators and a progressive legislature and President !
We no longer live in a democratic country.

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted. The Runway is currently being lengthened and should be able to accommodate smaller commercial airliners. The County should endeavor to attract airline service (to hubs like Charlotte). The NE area should be earmarked for a newer larger terminal, parking and rental cars.
Brian Crosby , when is the investigation into the mitigation project concerning the airport runway at the Buzzs Marina property going to be made public ??
Please take some time and watch my debate with my primary opponent tonight. I have COVID and strep right now, but I felt it was important to still participate.
To correct the record, I meant to say $250 Million instead of Billion. The point is the same— we’ve brought home significantly more $$$ in the last four years than in the previous four.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, especially my own. My dad taught me to never give up, to always remain humble, and to treat everyone with respect. It’s hard to believe that next Father’s Day, I will be celebrating with my own little girl. ... See MoreSee Less

Brian, where were you? Why didn't you attend this important event?
Very nice!
Congratulations to the families of three local heroes: the late Elmer Brown, John G. Lancaster, and Joe Lee Somerville, who are now commemorated at the African American Monument and Freedom Park in Lexington Park. Mike Brown and the members of the UCAC put together a beautiful ceremony today that was blessed enough to avoid the storm. ... See MoreSee Less
I am impressed with what these men accomplished in the community. I wish I had known them.
Wonderful! Thank you for seeing this project through, Michael Brown!
Wonderful men who enriched the fabric of our community…they so deserve this tribute!
Pleased to have known and learned from these amazing men what community service really means. Great job Michael Brown. They're looking down and smiling knowing there lives had and continues to have a positive impact on our community.
Mr Lancaster had amazing patience and a great sense of humor. He certainly had a positive impact on St Mary's County youth through generations.
All those men are deserving.

Last night in Leonardtown we were blessed with a lovely evening, shared with family and friends. It is amazing the things that Brooke and Brian have done for the people of Maryland: feeding children during the pandemic, taking long range steps to protect the environment and to safeguard the state pension system. I know a lot of St. Mary’s County public school teachers who appreciate that! Brian, with Brooke’s help has done so much for St. Mary’s County. Brooke will continue to look out for St. Mary’s County as well as the rest of the State as Comptroller of Maryland. Brian will have our back in Annapolis when he is reelected Delegate. These two wonder public servants need our support and our VOTES!
